Luxury SUV Rental in Orlando: The Best SUVs for a Family Vacation
An Orlando family vacation usually means suitcases, strollers, theme park bags and a lot of driving between the airport, your hotel and the parks. A luxury SUV handles all of it in comfort. At Emiris, luxury SUV rentals currently start from $399 per day for the 2026 BMW X6 and go up to $1,150 per day for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
This guide compares every SUV in the Emiris collection, explains what to think about for a family trip, and shares practical tips for driving around the theme parks.
Why rent a luxury SUV for an Orlando vacation?
- Space for luggage. Two-seat supercars have almost no luggage room. An SUV fits suitcases for the whole family.
- Room for everyone. Every SUV in our collection seats at least five, and the Cadillac Escalade ESV seats seven.
- Comfort in the heat. Strong air conditioning, tinted glass and quiet cabins make the drive back from a long park day much easier.
- A better arrival. Instead of a shuttle and a rental counter, your car is delivered to Orlando International Airport (MCO) or your hotel.
- Something special. For many families, the car becomes part of the vacation memories.

Which luxury SUV is right for your family?
Best value: BMW X6
If you want luxury and performance without supercar pricing, start here. The X6 combines a refined BMW cabin with a sleek, coupe-like roofline. It looks sportier than a traditional SUV, though the sloping roof trims some headroom and cargo height. For families with bulky luggage, an upright SUV like the Mercedes GLE 63 S is the more practical choice.
Sporty and practical: Mercedes GLE 63 S
The AMG GLE 63 S combines a powerful twin-turbo V8 with a comfortable, family-friendly cabin. It's an excellent all-rounder for families who also enjoy driving.
Most space: Cadillac Escalade ESV
Traveling with grandparents, older kids or another family? The extended-wheelbase Escalade ESV seats seven and keeps a real cargo area behind the third row, so you don't have to choose between passengers and suitcases. Read our Escalade ESV rental guide.
Iconic: Mercedes G63 AMG
The G-Class is instantly recognizable and great fun to be seen in. Its boxy shape gives a commanding view of the road. Keep in mind that the rear cargo area is accessed through a side-hinged tailgate with the spare wheel mounted on it, so plan a little extra space when parking.
Most comfortable: Mercedes-Maybach GLS600
The Maybach is built around rear-seat comfort, with a whisper-quiet cabin and a ride tuned for luxury. It's the SUV we'd pick for grandparents, long airport transfers and anyone who'd rather relax than drive fast.
Most exciting: Lamborghini Urus
The Urus is a supercar in SUV form, with a twin-turbo V8 and Lamborghini styling. It's the SUV for families who want the whole trip to feel like an event, and it still carries five people and luggage.
Ultimate luxury: Rolls-Royce Cullinan
The Cullinan is the definitive luxury SUV, with a V12 engine, rear-hinged coach doors and an exceptionally quiet ride. Read more in our Cullinan rental guide.
Planning tips for a theme park vacation
Know your distances
From Orlando International Airport, International Drive and Universal are roughly 12–15 miles away, Kissimmee about 15–20 miles, and Walt Disney World roughly 20–25 miles, depending on where you're going. Most theme park days fit easily within a daily mileage allowance. If you plan day trips to the coast, tell your concierge when you book.
Parking at the parks
The major theme parks have large parking areas with daily parking fees. Large SUVs park easily in standard spaces, but arrive early on busy days so you aren't hunting for a spot. Remember where you parked — after a long day every row looks the same.
Heat and sun
Florida sun heats cabins quickly. Use a windshield sunshade when parked, never leave children or pets in a parked car, and keep water in the car for the drive back.
Afternoon storms
Summer in Orlando often brings short, heavy afternoon thunderstorms. Slow down, increase your following distance, and turn on your headlights in heavy rain.
Plan around traffic
I-4 runs through the heart of the attractions area and can be slow at rush hour and when the parks open and close. Leave a little earlier than you think you need to, especially on the way to a timed reservation or the airport.
A sample five-day family itinerary with a luxury SUV
Here's how a typical family week might look with an SUV, and roughly how far you'd drive.
- Day 1 — Arrival. Your SUV is delivered at MCO. Load the luggage and drive to your hotel or vacation home near the attractions, roughly 12–25 miles depending on where you're staying.
- Day 2 — Theme park day. Drive to the park in the morning, park once, and drive back in the evening. Most families cover a modest distance on park days.
- Day 3 — A slower day. Explore Winter Park's Park Avenue and lakes, or take the family to Celebration for a relaxed lunch by the lake.
- Day 4 — Theme park day. Another park, another easy drive. A cooler in the back and a sunshade on the windshield make the evening drive home far more pleasant.
- Day 5 — Departure. Pack up and head out for your flight. Leave extra time for traffic and the return handoff you arranged with your concierge.
A week like this usually stays well within daily mileage allowances. If you add a day trip to the coast or the Kennedy Space Center area, mention it when you book so your allowance is set to fit.
Packing tips for an SUV road trip in Orlando
- Soft bags fit better than hard cases when you're filling a cargo area to the top.
- Keep a day bag within reach with sunscreen, water, chargers and snacks.
- Bring a phone mount for navigation; never hold your phone while driving.
- Store valuables out of sight whenever you park, especially at busy attractions.
Airport pickup with luggage
An SUV is the smartest choice for an airport arrival. Your concierge confirms the meeting point at MCO and walks you through the car, then you load your bags and drive straight to your hotel. Learn more about MCO airport delivery.
